DO I HAVE TO SELL TICKETS?
Nope!
IS THIS A POPULARITY CONTEST?
No. The audience vote is only used if there is a tiebreaker.
HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS?
Tickets to the competition are from $25
HOW MANY MAKE IT TO THE GRAND FINAL?
A maximum of 20 performers. Generally, the Top 4 are awarded the grand final prize.
HOW MANY SONGS DO I SING?
Just one. However, you need to submit two songs, one ballad and one up-tempo. Just in case we get repeat songs or too many ballads!
CAN I BRING MY OWN INSTRUMENT?
Due to ongoing technical issues with instruments supplied by contestant, we no longer accept any guitars or piano/keyboards for Sydney or Brisbane. For our upcoming Melbourne competition, you may supply your own guitar or keyboard.
CAN I ENTER AS A DUET OR GROUP?
Yes, you can enter as either a solo or group act (4 or less). All performers must sing.
WHAT FORMAT DOES MY BACKING TRACK NEED TO BE?
Please try to convert to MP3 and have your track clearly labelled with your name, song title and artist. NO BACKING VOCALS!

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE?
Depending on the musical, we generally accept from ages 7 - 19.
HOW MUCH IS THE PROGRAM?
Depending on the musical, the cost ranges from $400 - $600.
HOW MANY REHEARSALS PER WEEK?
One rehearsal per week (Sundays 10am - 4:30pm)
WHAT DAYS ARE REHEARSALS?
Sundays, followed by an intensive week in the school holidays.
DO I HAVE TO SELL TICKETS TO THE SHOW?
No - Although there is no minimum, we highly encourage performers to get friends, family and industry contacts to attend. What's the point of a show without an audience?
WHAT HAPPENS IF I CANT ATTEND A REHEARSAL?
We will do our best to work around your schedule. The program needs at least 90% attendance.
HOW DO I AUDITION?
Auditions are run over a weekend, including vocal & dance audition, and an acting callback the following day if required. Not all performers will be given a spot in the show, as we have limited spots available.
